How to Download Twitter Videos or GIFs

Twitter (now known as X) is a globally popular social platform where users frequently share short videos, animated GIFs, live clips, and other multimedia content. However, Twitter does not offer a built-in download option, making it difficult for users to save these media files directly.

This guide will show you how to download videos or GIFs from Twitter by copying the tweet link and using our all-in-one media extraction tool.

Steps to Follow

Step 1: Copy the tweet link

Open the Twitter app or website, find the tweet that contains the video or GIF you want to save, tap the Share icon, and select Copy link.

Step 2: Open the media extraction tool

Go to our media extraction website. After logging in, paste the copied tweet link into the input box on the homepage.

Step 3: Extract and download the media

Click the Extract button. The system will analyze the tweet and detect any media resources. Once processed, you’ll see a preview along with a Download button.

All media will be saved in MP4 format, including animated GIFs (which Twitter stores as video).
